Where Every Child is an Artist

What We Do

We provide art classes exclusively for primary school-aged children from Prep to

Year 6. Projects are customised to individual ability levels, so every child can experience a sense of accomplishment through the artmaking process.

Lessons are aimed at nurturing your child’s innate artistic ability, by teaching artmaking skills that support and inspire their creativity.

Making art

The

Experience

At Follow Your Art, your child will experience authentic arts learning through the integration of their individual interests and personal learning style. This holistic teaching method celebrates the child as an individual and values their unique contribution.

When children experience individualised learning, they are more likely to be fearlessly creative - a precious lifelong skill that can be applied across all educational disciplines.

Your Art -

For Keeps!

Students explore various art mediums, including - drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media. The primary focus being on the art-making process and cultivating creativity,

While we value the process over the product, we know that when a child creates an artwork that is meaningful to them, it builds a confidence and belief in their own ability that can nurture and develop their inner artist. As Picasso so aptly said, “Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”.

Meet Your

Teacher

I am a registered primary school teacher with a special interest in visual arts teaching. I follow the Reggio Emilia teaching approach, where learning is experienced as a collaboration between teacher and student, within an aesthetically stimulating and mutually valued learning space.

The physical learning space is seen as fundamental to the teaching process and is considered to be the "Third Teacher" (Reggio Emilia, 2022).

MeeT Your Studio

The Follow Your Art studio is set in the tranquil rural environment of Mount Tamborine. The studio has been modelled along the Reggio Emilia guidelines of classroom design, which are characterised by expansive natural light, natural materials, indoor plants and child-centric zones where student artworks are mindfully curated. The studio was purpose built to be a welcoming artmaking space that inspires creativity.
